Ihre Aufgaben:
SUMMARY The Group Head Risk Management Asia/Pacific is a leadership role based in Singapore, LBBW’s regional hub for Asia/Pacific, with responsibility for the regional corporate Credit Risk Management team in Singapore, Seoul and Shanghai. The role is responsible for the independent assessment, approval and ongoing monitoring of corporate credit risk exposures across Asia/Pacific, with a focus on European subsidiaries under the Follow Your Client (FYC) model and Asian Multinational Corporates (MNC). Working closely with the Chief Risk Officer Asia/Pacific, Head Office Risk Management and regional business stakeholders, the role ensures that lending activities remain within LBBW’s risk appetite, internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements. The successful candidate combines strong credit-risk expertise ideally with first leadership experience and pro-motes a prudent, collaborative and high-performing risk culture across locations. DUTIES COOPERATION PARTICIPATION IN COMMITTEES/CONFERENCES
• Lead the Asia/Pacific Risk Management group, including colleagues in Singapore, Seoul and Shanghai; ensure effective functional integration with Head Office Risk Management.
• Direct and oversee day-to-day corporate credit risk management activities in close cooperation with the Chief Risk Officer Asia/Pacific and relevant Head Office functions.
• Ensure proactive assessment, monitoring and management of the regional corporate loan portfolio, including European subsidiaries and Asian Multinational Corporates.
• Review and challenge new financing requests, incl. financial statement and cash-flow analysis, internal ratings, business-model assessment, sector outlook, transaction structure and loan documentation.
• Oversee the preparation and assessment of credit applications, periodic reviews, amendments, waivers, covenant monitoring, risk classifications and required system updates.
• Exercise delegated credit approval authority prudently, independently and consistently within LBBW’s defined risk appetite and governance framework.
• Maintain a forward-looking view of relevant credit-risk drivers, including portfolio concentrations, sector and country developments, macroeconomic trends and emerging risks.
• Ensure compliance with LBBW’s credit-risk policies, processes and standards, as well as applicable regulatory requirements in Singapore, South Korea and China.
• Ensure appropriate escalation and reporting of material credit, portfolio and risk developments to senior management both regionally as well as at Head Office.
• Drive consistent credit-quality standards, efficient risk processes, data quality and continuous improve-ment across the regional team.
• Manage team capacity and priorities; recruit, develop, coach and retain talented risk professionals, including succession and performance management.
• Foster effective collaboration across locations, time zones and functions while maintaining the independence and constructive challenge role of Risk Management.
• Front Office: Act as the primary regional contact for corporate credit-risk-related matters and provide in-dependent, constructive challenge throughout the credit process.
• Head Office Risk Management: Ensure a consistent bank-wide risk approach and communicate Asia/Pacific perspectives, portfolio developments and emerging risks to relevant stakeholders.
• Other control and support functions: Collaborate closely with relevant other functions, incl. Compliance, Legal, Operations etc.
• Internally: Represent the credit risk function in the regional Risk Committees;
• Externally: Attend client meetings as and when required, conferences/workshops/road shows, head office and other LBBW events
Ihr Profil:
• At least 12–15 years of relevant experience in corporate credit risk management, corporate banking, credit analysis or a comparable role within an international financial institution. EDUCATION
• Prior leadership experience, ideally including leading and developing culturally diverse teams across multiple locations
• Strong expertise in the corporate credit-risk lifecycle, including financial analysis, ratings, credit structuring, credit applications, loan documentation, covenant monitoring, periodic reviews, waivers etc.
• Sound knowledge of corporate lending and derivative products.
• Good understanding of credit-risk governance, regulatory expectations and audit requirements; Asia/Pacific regulatory experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to make independent, well-founded credit decisions and exercise delegated approval authority responsibly.
• Excellent stakeholder-management, communication and presentation skills, including with senior management and committees.
• Strong people-development skills, integrity, professional judgement, resilience and a prudent, solution-oriented risk mindset.
• Excellent written and spoken English is essential for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Additional proficiency in German, Mandarin, or Korean would be advantageous, as the role may involve collaboration with colleagues, customers, or business partners in regions where these lan-guages are commonly used.
• Willingness to travel within Asia/Pacific and to Germany.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Banking, Law or a comparable discipline.
• Relevant professional qualifications, such as CFA, FRM, PRM, CPA/ACCA or equivalent banking quali-fications, are advantageous.
